Hi there, let me start off by saying that I'm NOT a guru, don't claim to be one, and don't want to be known as one! I'm not well known (by name) in the internet marketing world, but I do "work" full-time at internet marketing & make my living from it, so I do know what I'm talking about.

Most I.M. people like to spread their names & faces all over their websites, which I suppose IS a good thing to some extent, as you (sort of) know you are dealing with a real person. I however, prefer my privacy and generally DO NOT reveal myself on any of the numerous websites which I own. I had considered making an exception for this experiment, but then after much consideration, decided against it. To further prove my point on which this experiment is based, I believe it really isn't necessary for my identity (or anyone's) to be known. After all, outside of the 'regular' internet marketing world, when you order online from somewhere, most of the time you don't know 'who' you are buying from, either. You base your decisions on the actual merchandise that is being offered, so I want you to do the exact same with what I am presenting here.



Just another example, and proof if you will, that ANYONE can make money on the internet if the offer is a good enough one that people desire. My main reasoning was to do it this way for the newbies, and perhaps others as well, so you can see that you don't have to plaster your mug onto your sites like the gurus do. Of course, if you like that sort of thing, then by all means, use it. You also don't need to be well known if your product or offering is compelling, so that was another reason I justified for not wanting to place a nametag herein. My assumptions may be incorrect, although I doubt it, but I suppose the end results will tell. Finally, I am doing this entire project on my own, meaning by myself, without utilizing any of my regular staff, so that I can produce to you accurate measurements and results of how long it takes to accomplish certain tasks.

Alright, proceeding on to 'why' I am doing this.

After hearing and reading about many people struggling with trying to make money online, or wanting to learn how to do it, NOT knowing HOW to do it, asking successful internet marketing people question after question, receiving answers (some good, some not), or only really getting bits and pieces from here and there, I have decided to do this experiment. In its complete entirety, so you may gain some insight and knowledge.

If you've ever wanted to see what happens behind the scenes, what exactly is required to setup a website from the get-go, what kinds of problems you face, and a miriad of other obstacles, tactics and techniques you must face along the way... you have come to the right place! Since this IS an ongoing project (assuming you are reading this while the experiment is actually taking place), realize some functions, pages, etc., may not work correctly right at this moment. In due time, all will be functional (check back later). This is just the sort of thing that most 'normal' websites have already made sure ARE working properly, and have pre-tested BEFORE they go "live." But what good would that do in this case, since this website is set up to show you HOW things proceed.

  THE IDEA:

 Starting with basically nothing, as most new people would have, and trying to use the most cost-effective (or free) resources available, I will build a site that includes "some" features that are expected in modern day websites.

Sell products that will produce the $1000 goal.

Finish up the 30 day experiment with a package that includes ALL of the software & tools used to make this website, complete with EXACT step-by-step directions on everything I did, how I did it, results, ideas to use or modify for your own benefit, and anything else that comes up within this duration.

Make no mistake, I AM trying to sell you something from this website (either the main product or the final ebook package). However, that does NOT mean that you can't learn along the way from this experiment the techniques required to do business online! Just keep reading the BLOG. THAT was one of the reasons I have produced this website!!


I will be honest & upfront with you about EVERYTHING entailed herein. Costs, expenses, profits, time involved, what's required, what you need to do, etc., etc.

How many other people do you know that sell internet products that will come out and tell you directly that they are trying to sell you something & that you really SHOULD buy it!!?? Without beating around the bush, soft-sells, hyping it up with all those "supposed" benefits you'll be getting from it (whether or not they actually do what they're meant to do)? Maybe a few are gutsy enough to try, but of those, how many are revealing to you the EXACT steps they are using to get you to buy the product from them? Probably none. That is why "this" is an experiment!

  THE STRATEGY:

For promotion, I will use a few forums, some social media sites, submit a couple articles to the directories, and I will be contacting various people for possible JV deals (ALL from the email lists that I am already on - a "subscriber" to these). Plus a few more ways that I won't get into here (but you can read them on the blog). THIS is all of the ways that you are supposed to use (or have been taught or told) to use to promote your sites.   Let's see how well they work!


  THE PRODUCT:

To obtain the goal of making $1000, I need to come up with something truly irresistible, a product that you basically CAN'T say no to purchasing!


  THE SOFTWARE USED:

This site will incorporate an HTML editor (to make the webpages), FTP software (to upload the pages made), an email/autoresponder type tool (for the list), and a JV manager (that will actually run the sales portion). An IPN program (for download & payment security) plus software to write the ebook with is a necessary item. It's also pleasant to have an OTO script, corner peels, popup ad creator & an exit generator to try and catch some extra sales.

  OTHER ITEMS NEEDED:

Web Hosting. (We like this company:  HOSTING).
Setup a Wordpress blog to keep you up to date on the progress, as well as for additional exposure.
Some widgets, etc., for the blog to use for promotion.
A payment processor to take orders for the product. (Here's who we're using: Payment Processor).
An email account set up for any questions, correspondence, etc.

  ADDITIONAL TRICKS UP MY SLEEVE:

There will be some things I have in mind to do, but you'll have to keep watching to see what they are!
