So you have to figure out a way to be able to offer your readers something special, while at the same time not specifically coming out and saying it directly. Know what I mean? (hint, hint, )

Now, if you are giving something away that you want anyone and everyone to grab a hold of, well, thats a different story! Stick it in the most noticeable spot! Thats a great technique for viral marketing, but thats a whole other subject.

The treasures that you give away should be relevant to whatever the theme of your website is, too. It doesn’t really do any good to be passing out a book about dogs when the subject of your site is about cars! Readers might not even want to receive that kind of special bonus, so don’t waste your time offering it.

Yes, indeed, your readers, who with any luck, will turn into your future customers may remember you specifically because of these hidden treasures. It’s been said before, that if the freebies you give away are THAT good, just imagine what the value of the product is that you are trying to sell to them! Good valuable products for free = great valuable & knowledgeable paid merchandise!
