Paypal IPN integration program a great option for securing digital downloads

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

We all like to have different options when it comes to website building.  Recently, I started using this software program that makes it easy to sell digital products when you use Paypal.  If you’ve ever tried to integrate the Paypal IPN system with securing your digital downloads, well, you know it’s a difficult feat to accomplish, let alone trying to understand how it all really works.

People can steal your downloads if they aren’t protected.  People can find your download or thank you pages, and acquire YOUR products for free!  Worse yet, they could share your link with everyone else!  People can also manipulate the paypal button and pay 1 cent for your product!

So what to do? Here comes along this program that solves all the headaches of trying to eliminate these problems!

This Paypal-IPN system is truly the way to go.  It’s inexpensive, and best of all, the creator, offers tremendous support if you run into any problems or need assistance (but you shouldn’t, just follow the directions).  Thanks Perry!

You can download this program, use it & install the paypal-ipn scripts, and secure your products in less than 10 minutes!  It’s easy to use.

Take a look at it, I’m recommending it, and I don’t even make a commission from it!  It’s that good!

Landing Pages, Squeeze Pages & Capturing Email addresses

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

I’ve been doing more browsing of other blogs, and came across this excellent, but a tad long (but worth it!) post about landing / squeeze pages & capturing email addresses to build your mailing lists. How they work, what it is, why you need them, creating them, etc. It’s definitely a good read… just the thing you need to learn and use on your own websites! Go check it out!

Treasures for the taking waiting to be found!

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

I believe when you set up a website or blog, you should not only make it useful & informative for your readers, but also, when appropriate, fun! For instance, everybody loves discounts & freebies. Obviously, you can’t always give out either of these two, but if you are able, you should. Treasures for the taking waiting to be found!

Sometimes you shouldn’t even make it too obvious. Let your readers search for these hidden treasures! Don’t go blatantly posting them in noticeable spots. This accomplishes 2 things. First, for those honest to goodness actual readers of your site, it gives them a special bonus, because they have actually found what you have hidden. Plus the fact that you know if they have found them, then they are “really” reading your site, otherwise they wouldn’t get this special treat! Second, some people just like searching for anything that is free. If you tell everyone about where they can get this item, they may just head straight for it, ignoring everything else. That’s bad! You want people to read what you have on your site, don’t you? So you have to figure out a way to be able to offer your readers something special, while at the same time not specifically coming out and saying it directly. Know what I mean? (hint, hint, ;-) )

Now, if you are giving something away that you want anyone and everyone to grab a hold of, well, thats a different story! Stick it in the most noticeable spot! Thats a great technique for viral marketing, but thats a whole other subject.

The treasures that you give away should be relevant to whatever the theme of your website is, too. It doesn’t really do any good to be passing out a book about dogs when the subject of your site is about cars! Readers might not even want to receive that kind of special bonus, so don’t waste your time offering it.

Yes, indeed, your readers, who with any luck, will turn into your future customers may remember you specifically because of these hidden treasures. It’s been said before, that if the freebies you give away are THAT good, just imagine what the value of the product is that you are trying to sell to them! Good valuable products for free = great valuable & knowledgeable paid merchandise! That’s the best situation you could give to your customers, and definitely what you want your customers to think about you.

Treasures for the taking waiting to be found! Give this idea a shot the next time you create a website, or add it onto whatever site you have going on right now. You’ll never know what the outcome will be for doing something like this until you give it a whirl.

Popup created with CRAZY PLR offer!

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Popups… Love ‘em or hate ‘em, but they do work most of the time in grabbing peoples attention. I have just made a popup created with CRAZY PLR offer! Or should I say that what is offered FROM the popup is a CRAZY PLR offer.

Keeping in theme with the rest of this site, I installed a popup on a few of the pages from the website. There’s lots of “popup creators” on the market, and they all similarly work the same way. Sure, some popups have fancy things that they do when they first appear, but they all are just trying to accomplish one thing. Get your attention!  Did it work?  Did you see the one I made here?

It took me less than 5 minutes to input the information I wanted into this popup maker. Installing the script into the webpages only takes another few minutes. The longest part of this job is setting up the actual offer page, the payment scripts, compiling the products, zipping them up & uploading them to the server. THAT part took about an hour and a half!

So another step of creating a website is done! Be sure to check out the CRAZY PLR offer if you are searching for some nice Private Label Rights products that you can resell!

By the way, don’t forget that you get some popup creator included with the create a successful website kit (AKA the ebook package).  Just one of the MANY tools that are in this kit!

FTP - How to transfer your files to your webhost

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

While browsing some blogs to find some info about website creation, I ran across this post in Dave Nicholson’s blog. It gives an excellent tutorial on exactly how to FTP using a program called SmartFTP.  Even tells you where to get it for free!

FTP’ing is a means of uploading your files or getting your webpages sent to your webhosts server.

While there are many different ftp programs available to use to do the job, most of them work in a similar manner to accomplish what you need done. This is an easy step-by-step fast read that you could apply to pretty much any FTP program you use.

If you don’t know how to FTP, go check out this post now. http://www.dave-nicholson.com/blog/?p=40

Look over the rest of the blog, too, some interesting stuff there!
