I’ve been a Victim! Don’t Fall Prey!

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Yes, indeed, I’ve been a victim! You, too, can become a victim to this unless you protect yourself!

What was the crime? A minor one, I suppose, but none the less, I feel like a victim!

After having to take a week off to attend to some things, when I returned to this site to continue on where I left off, I had all the intentions of picking up right where I had stopped. Of course, before I could do that, there were emails I needed to catch up on, as well as some other items. Then, as any good internet marketer should do, is stay abreast of whats happening in the IM world. Newsletters, video’s that have been released to learn from, other blog posts, etc., etc. Before you know it, you’re NOT working on your own stuff, but spending a bunch of time surfing and the like!

It’s great to continue on with your education, learning from others to see what works, what doesn’t, the latest trends, the newest software applications released that are suppose to make your work life easier, and the list goes on and on. Another week has passed for me, catching up with all this, and I didn’t really do much for my own website here!

Don’t fall prey to becoming a victim of this crime! It’s all about balance and scheduling. Sure, you need to get current again after being absent for a time, but you need to work on your own projects as well, otherwise you won’t accomplish your goals that you started in the beginning!

I won’t penalize myself too much because of this, and you shouldn’t knock yourself either when you stray from what you “should be doing” as opposed to “what you ARE doing.” We all have times where it’s just easier to keep on learning, or doing other activities, instead of implementing what we are learning. Just realize if you don’t work ever on your own stuff, you’ll never get to where you want to be! So learn, but utilize these methods too!

I’ve been a victim of this more or less harmless crime, but you don’t have to fall prey to it if you know that there will be times when you don’t or can’t work on your own material, and you just accept that for what it is. Allow yourself a day or 2 to “catch up,” but then on the next day, regardless of how much more catching up you have to do, put it aside, it WILL be there later to get to, promise. Take a day to work on your stuff, that really is more important than the other things! Even if you have to alternate days between catching up & doing your own sites. Eventually, you’ll fall back into your “normal schedule or routine.”  And you do have a regular routine, right? Time management is crucial!

Exit Ad Script Installed

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

I attached one of those cool “exit ad scripts” onto a few of the pages on the website. This is to try and catch some additional sales from those who aren’t interested in any of the other fine products that this website has to offer you (but you really should be interested in this stuff  :-)  - it’s what you need to make your own websites!).

The total time to implement the exit ad script, including setup of the exit script, thank you page,  ipn scripts and uploading the actual product took an hour. It helps to be able to reuse other similar pages as a template, just transferring the new info onto the old page, then upload it all!

The actual exit ad script offer, offers 25+ Wordpress blog themes for a SUPER price! If you’ve never seen one of these scripts in action, just go to the main home page then move your mouse up to the red X at the top of the window, like you would close the page. As soon as your pointer gets close to reaching the X, the window should show you the offer! Cool, huh?  Now you should go and actually check out this SUPER offer if you haven’t already!

This cool exit ad script is just ONE of the MANY products that are included in the ebook package (AKA: Create A Successful Website Kit) that I’m offering you on this site.

Unexpected Delays are a normal occurance

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

You just never know when something unexpected will happen. Of course, it usually happens when you least expect it, or when you’re not ready for it. These unexpected delays are a normal occurance in life, as well as when you are trying to setup a website!

The past week I had to deal with some personal issues, and had absolutely no time to continue on with this site. But now I’m back, and will be continuing on with the finishing of the building of this website.

Sometimes delays throw you for a loop, but to have a successful website, you must push on and try to finish or continue on with what you have started.

If you’ve wondered why there’s been no posts for the last week, the above is the answer for the delay. Keep reading and following on now to see how the rest of this site is developed.  Thanks for checking it out.

It’s been a busy 3 days!

Monday, May 19th, 2008

I intended on trying to make a posting every single day, but thats not really working out very well. However, it’s been a busy 3 days! I’ve got a lot of things done to this site, just read the last 9 posts that I wrote today! That’ll show you what I’ve been doing these last few days.

Had to stop to make these update posts so I don’t fall too far behind! It doesn’t help that I’m not spending ALL of my available time creating this site, but if I did, it wouldn’t really resemble the way most people would work at making a website part-time, now would it?

I would suspect that most people who have regular jobs, or are trying to start doing “online marketing” only get to spend at the most 3-4 hours a day to produce their own websites. The rest of the time (or part of THAT time) is probably devoted to learning, reading ebooks, checking email, etc. (???)

You tell me, please comment here… are you working part-time at this? how do you divide up all your online activities? How busy do you get with any specific activity?

Main Products Page Finished

Monday, May 19th, 2008

I started the main products page 5 days ago. It’s finally done, even though I haven’t installed the JV manager yet. Took about 2 hours to complete (on top of the time I already put into it) because I set up 2 payment buttons, made the dual order pages, uploaded all the zipfiles, created the necessary scripts, plus made dual thank you pages.

This site is coming along, although not quite as fast as I’d like. I am creating this website all by myself, and not using any outside help (or my staff), to be able to show you (roughly) how long it takes to create a site like this one (you just have to add up the times I listed from each post!). Your time spent may be more or less, depending on how well you can use the tools and resources you have available at your disposal! Plus, it all depends on what type of site you are producing. This website has a bunch of things that you probably won’t need (like dual order & thank you pages) and some other items that might not be useful to what you are producing.

So since I now have the main products page finished that is being offered on this site, the one that will hopefully net $1000 in sales for me to reach my goal, please take a minute to check it out! (& maybe order it???) main product
